Maserati Grecale SUV lineup gets V6 engine, price hike

Auto

Maserati's 2026 Grecale SUV just got a big update: the entry-level Modena now runs on a detuned 3.0L twin-turbo V6, replacing the old turbocharged four-cylinder mild-hybrid.
With the previous base trim discontinued, the starting price for the Grecale lineup rises by about $6,600 to $86,495 (including destination).

What's new under the hood?

The Modena's new V6 delivers 386hp, does 0-97km/h in about five seconds, and tops out at 258km/h—so it's definitely quicker than before.
The high-performance Trofeo model sticks with its 523hp engine and faster sprint times.
For those into EVs, the Folgore variant now offers up to 443km of range.

Price vs performance: Worth it?

While the base price is higher than last year's entry model, it's actually $2,330 less than last year's Modena—and you get an extra 61hp compared to last year's Modena (or 90hp compared to the discontinued base GT) thanks to that V6 swap.
The electric Folgore starts at $121,290 if you're feeling fancy (and eco-friendly).
