MINI Cooper S Convertible goes official in India at ₹59L

British automotive brand MINI has introduced its latest model, the Cooper S Convertible, in India. The car is priced at ₹58.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes as a completely built-up unit (CBU). The company has already started accepting bookings for the new model at authorized dealerships across the country. Deliveries of this stylish convertible have also begun.

A blend of modernity and tradition
The new MINI Cooper S Convertible retains its iconic silhouette but gets modern design elements for a sharper character. The front fascia has been revamped with the brand's signature round LED headlights, now offering three different light signatures. It also gets a new grille and athletic surfaces for a more streamlined look.
Performance
A versatile driving experience
The Cooper S Convertible is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo petrol mill that delivers 204hp and 300Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100km/h in just 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of up to 240km/h. The engine is mated to a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission for smooth performance on the road.

A look at the interiors
The cabin of the MINI Cooper S Convertible combines classic MINI elements with a modern digital environment. It features a 240mm circular OLED touchscreen, or the MINI Interaction Unit, which integrates instrument cluster and infotainment controls. The interface is powered by the latest MINI Operating System 9 and is highly intuitive, making it easy to use for drivers.

Enhanced comfort and safety features
The Cooper S Convertible comes with a host of comfort features like electric seats with memory, Active Seat for the driver, head-up display, steering wheel heating, and also wireless charging. It gets an extensive list of safety features including front and passenger-side airbags, Brake Assist, and Dynamic Stability Control among others. The car also offers ADAS functions such as Front Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.
