Mitsubishi says Montero 'Pajero' could return to US by 2030

Mitsubishi just said that the Montero SUV may return to the US by 2030, with its launch as Pajero coming this fall.
Dealers in Chicago got an early look at the new model, which is built on a tough platform shared with the Triton pickup, so it's ready for adventure.
Montero larger and off road focused
The new Montero is bigger than the Outlander and designed for off-road enthusiasts, drawing comparisons to the Toyota Land Cruiser.
It features bold vertical headlights, T-shaped taillights, and a classic tailgate with no externally mounted spare tire.
Inside, you'll find three rows of seats and a roomy cabin.
Mitsubishi also teased plans for redesigned Outlander models by 2028 and a midsize truck based on Nissan's Frontier platform set for 2029.
