Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition arrives as tribute to tigers
Land Rover has introduced the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India, with a price tag of ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom). This exclusive model is based on the long-wheelbase Range Rover SV, currently available in the Indian market. It has been uniquely customized by Land Rover's bespoke SV division, marking it as the brand's first-ever limited-run vehicle specifically designed for India.
Exclusive features and design elements
The Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is super exclusive, with only 12 units available worldwide. Each unit comes with special door sill plates showing its uniqueness (like 1 of 12). The outside flaunts a distinctive black shade with a reddish tinge, paired with contrasting Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents. These design features draw inspiration from a tiger's stripes and can be spotted on the grille, tailgate, and the 23-inch dark alloy wheels.
A peek inside the Ranthambore Edition
The inside of the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is just as cool. It has a four-seater cabin dressed up in Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and even tiger stripe-inspired embroidery on the seats. Plus, you will find custom scatter cushions, chrome highlights, light wenge veneers (a dark-colored wood), and white ceramic dials that set this edition apart from the regular Range Rover SV.
Performance and luxury amenities
Under the hood, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition packs a punch with a 400hp/550Nm, 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It's the same powertrain found in the Autobiography variant of the model line. For rear seat passengers, it's all about luxury with fully reclinable seats, a powered table, deployable cupholders, and a refrigerated compartment complete with SV-etched glassware.
Land Rover's commitment to wildlife conservation
In a commendable move, Land Rover has pledged to donate a part of the proceeds from the sales of the Ranthambore Edition, to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India. This initiative aligns with the company's commitment toward preserving and protecting wildlife, while also offering its customers an exclusive vehicle that embodies luxury and performance.
