Sales comparison
Tata's October sales beat Mahindra and Hyundai
Tata Motors's October sales beat Mahindra's 66,800 units and Hyundai's 65,045 units but were significantly behind Maruti Suzuki's leading figure of 2,38,534 units. The company's impressive performance can be attributed to the festive season and GST cuts that slashed prices by up to ₹1.55 lakh on its passenger vehicles in the country.
Festive sales
Over 1 lakh vehicles delivered during the festive season
During the 30-day festive period from Navaratri to Diwali, Tata Motors delivered over 1 lakh vehicles. This included more than 38,000 units of the Nexon and 32,000 units of the Punch. Overall, Dhanteras-Diwali deliveries crossed 25,000 units. "We believe this performance sets the tone for the rest of the fiscal," said Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles.
