Tesla unveils Cybercab 2-seater robotaxi without steering wheel or pedals
Auto
Tesla just dropped the specs for its Cybercab, a fully self-driving, two-seater robotaxi with no steering wheel or pedals.
Built for ride-hailing, it's all about efficiency and affordability, offering a solid range of up to 673km on a single charge.
Cybercab price expected under $30,000
Weighing in at 1,412kg (that's 340kg lighter than a standard Model 3), the Cybercab uses a front-wheel-drive system and packs a 216-bhp motor plus a 47.6-kWh battery.
It also squeezes in all the tech needed for autonomous driving, like cameras and a computing module, without bulking up.
Production is underway at Tesla's Giga Texas factory, and pricing is expected to stay under $30,000, making it one of Tesla's most affordable options yet.
