Xiaomi's rapid electric car production

Auto

Xiaomi's electric car factory in Beijing is on fire (not literally)—they're rolling out a new EV every 76 seconds, thanks to some seriously advanced robots.
Their SU7 series is picking up speed too, with nearly 75,869 cars delivered in just the first quarter of 2025—up almost 9% from last quarter.

Xiaomi's EV division is still losing money on every car

Xiaomi's EV division pulled in a hefty 18.1 billion yuan in Q1 2025 and has a solid profit margin on paper.
But here's the twist: they're still losing about 6,500 yuan per car sold.
Even so, Xiaomi isn't slowing down—they've set their sights on delivering over 350,000 vehicles by the end of the year (that's an even bigger goal than before).

SU7 going up against Tesla Model 3

The SU7 is going head-to-head with Tesla's Model 3 and holding its own by shipping over 20,000 units each month.
Next up? Xiaomi plans to launch mass production of its YU7 SUV to grab an even bigger piece of the EV market pie.
