Bengaluru metro services extended by 1.5 hours on IPL days
The Bengaluru metro will run till 12.30 AM, as against the normal 11 PM, on all the days IPL matches will be held at the Chinnaswamy stadium. The city will host IPL matches on April 13, 21, 25, 29, May 1 and 17. During IPL, the ridership goes above 4 lakh and hence the BMRCL decided to extend the metro services.

BMRCL using pre-printed paper tickets for the first time
The extended services will be applicable for both Purple and Green lines, during which train frequency will be 15 minutes. Apart from that, return journey tickets (pre-printed paper tickets) can be purchased from any metro station on those six days. The tickets will be valid from 4pm till the last train. This is for the first time BMRCL is using pre-printed paper tickets.
Regular discounts for smart-card holders even during extended hours
"The cost of each paper ticket will be Rs. 50. It can be used only for travel from Cubbon Park and MG Road metro stations to any station along Purple and Green Lines," said BMRCL. It added the tickets must be shown to the guards while entering and deposited at exit gate. There will be regular discounts for smartcard-holders even during the extended hours.
