Indian investors go global, hitting $1.6 billion
Business
Indian investors are making big moves overseas, with international investments jumping from $400 million to over $1.6 billion, according to Vested Finance's latest report.
What's cool? Nearly half of these investors come from smaller Tier II and III cities—not just the big metros.
Young crowd leads the charge
Almost half (48%) of global investors from India are under 35, and many start out with less than $500.
On average, they're holding about eight different stocks—so there's a clear trend of young people dipping their toes into global markets early.
Where's the money going?
Most of the cash (68%) is in stocks, while ETFs take up 24%.
A lot of folks (66%) use both stocks and ETFs together.
Plus, over a third increase their international investments within their first year.
