IndiGo cancels all Delhi flights till midnight amid operational crisis
Business
IndiGo has canceled all departures from Delhi till midnight today, after a wave of over 400 flight cancelations across India in just one day.
Major airports are facing heavy delays, and the airline's on-time performance has dropped sharply to only 8.5%, according to the aviation ministry.
Why is this happening—and what's next?
The main issue is a shortage of cabin crew, which led to more than 100 cancelations in Bengaluru and over 90 in Hyderabad alone.
IndiGo's troubles have also hit its stock price, down by 1% today.
To get things back on track, the airline is asking for a break from new night landing rules and plans more schedule cuts starting December 8—hoping to return to normal by February 2026.
