What's the story
IndiGo's CEO Pieter Elbers has announced that the airline has emerged stronger from a challenging phase. IndiGo's stock surges following operational stabilization
Following the news of operational stabilization, IndiGo's parent company InterGlobe Aviation's stock surged almost 3% in today's session to close at ₹5,125 apiece on the NSE. Elbers expressed gratitude to pilots and other teams for their support during this challenging period in his video message.
Future plans
IndiGo's focus on resilience and rebuilding
Elbers said IndiGo's focus now is on three things: resilience, root cause analysis, and rebuilding. He noted that despite the scale and complexity of the situation, operations have stabilized quickly. "Given our scale and complexity, recovering from such a situation in a short time is a testament to our teamwork and the strength of our operating principles," he added.
Employee engagement
IndiGo's leadership team to engage with employees
Elbers also said the leadership team will travel across the network to meet employees and seek feedback. He stressed that a combination of this root cause analysis and employee input will help build IndiGo even stronger. "The leadership team, including myself, will travel across the network to meet you, understand the challenges you faced during this difficult time and seek your feedback," he said.
