IndiGo to operate up to 2,000 domestic flights daily
IndiGo is ramping up for a busy summer, planning to run up to 2,000 domestic flights every day.
This comes after a tough winter when flight numbers were slashed due to operational issues, but the airline has bounced back with smarter crew scheduling and upgraded monitoring tools, already hitting more than 1,850 domestic flights till March 29, 2026.
Abhijit Dasgupta says summer resources approved
IndiGo's Senior Vice President Abhijit Dasgupta says they're focused on keeping things stable and fully compliant as more people travel:
All resources required to operate the planned summer schedule are in place and have been approved by relevant authorities.
Alongside boosting domestic flights, IndiGo is expanding internationally with new routes to Athens, Shanghai, and Reunion Island thanks to its latest A321XLR aircraft.
Even with rising costs and airspace restrictions in the mix, IndiGo is working hard to keep up with demand and grow its network.
