Kazakhstan, NVIDIA and Firebird sign $10B Data Center Valley deal
Kazakhstan just signed a massive $10 billion deal with technology leader NVIDIA and AI infrastructure company Firebird to build out its AI infrastructure.
Announced on June 16, the plan centers around the new Data Center Valley in Ekibastuz: think high-tech data hubs powered by 100,000 cutting-edge GPUs, including NVIDIA's latest chips.
The project is part of the country's push to become a major player in digital tech.
Officials say $3B exports and jobs
Officials say this move could bring in $3 billion a year through exports, create skilled jobs for locals, and attract international tech companies.
Firebird's CEO believes Kazakhstan could break into the world's top 10 for AI infrastructure by 2027.
With strong government backing (2026 is officially "The Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence"), Kazakhstan is aiming to put itself firmly on the global tech map.
