Lenskart introduces Spanish sunglasses brand Meller to Indian market

Lenskart, India's leading omnichannel eyewear company, has announced the launch of Meller sunglasses in India. The move comes as part of the company's strategy to strengthen its premium and fashion eyewear offerings. The brand is owned by Spain-based Stellio Ventures, the firm which Lenskart acquired for roughly ₹400 crore earlier this year.

Meller sunglasses to be available online and offline
The Meller sunglasses will be available on Lenskart's online platforms and select offline stores. This is in addition to the company's existing premium lifestyle eyewear brand John Jacobs, and Japanese optical brand Owndays. The move is part of Lenskart's strategy to cater to a wider audience by offering a diverse range of eyewear brands.

Meller's financial performance and market presence
In FY25, Meller brand under Stellio Ventures, reported a revenue of ₹272 crore with an EBITDA of ₹44 crore and a Profit Before Tax of ₹43 crore. Marco Grandi Blanch, co-CEO of Meller, said India is a key milestone in their journey and they couldn't have asked for a better partner than Lenskart.

Lenskart's global expansion and financial performance
Lenskart had acquired an 80% stake in Meller for ₹407 crore in July this year. The company will roll out the sunglasses across 500 stores nationwide using GeoIQ location intelligence technology to identify the right outlets and target customers. Lenskart's global expansion has paid off, with over 40% of its total revenue for FY25 coming from international markets like Taiwan, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Middle East.
