Meet the teens who turned ₹2,000 into ₹11.6cr handyman business
Business
Two Singaporean brothers, Zames and Amos Chew, started Repair.sg at just 16 by spending S$30 (about ₹2,000) on a domain name after seeing how hard it was to find reliable home repair services.
What began as a side project quickly grew—by 2021, they skipped university to focus fully on their business.
From side hustle to major success
Despite some stigma around blue-collar work, the Chews trained hard and built up their skills.
Now Repair.sg employs over 20 people and is expected to earn about ₹20.5 crore in 2025.
Their story is a great example of Gen Z tackling overlooked industries and redefining what success looks like.
