Do away with old dongle and buy JioFi 4G device

Reliance Jio has launched an exchange offer under which users can buy a new JioFi M2S dongle and exchange their old dongle or modem of any other company. Along with the JioFi 4G portable hotspot, users will also get a cashback of Rs. 2,200 as part of the offer. It is a limited-period offer but its last date is not known yet.

Working
Here's is how you can avail the JioFi Exchange Offer

Buy the JioFi M2S W-Fi router for Rs. 999 from any Reliance Digital or JioStore as the offer is offline-only. Get its SIM activated for Rs. 198 or Rs. 299, along with a Rs. 99 JioPrime membership. Return your old, non-Jio dongle or modem. Provide your old device's serial number and new device's MSISDN number to get the cashback credited to your MyJio account.

Fine Print
The total Rs. 2,200 cashback will be not be instant

However, the cashback will be credited in the form of 44 vouchers worth Rs. 50 each, which will be redeemable on recharges of Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 only. There is no information on the expiry date of these vouchers. The recharge plans offer 2GB and 3GB of daily data, respectively. Both packs include free local/STD calls, 28-day validity, and 100 daily SMSes.

Specs
The device supports HD voice calls, video calls, and messaging

Launched in 2016, the JioFi M2S portable hotspot can deliver download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. 11 users can simultaneously connect to high-speed internet, 10 on Wi-Fi and one on USB. The egg-shaped dongle features an OLED display that showcases information on network strength, power, and Wi-Fi status, and 2,300mAh battery that lasts 5-6 hours.

Information
The device grabbed 91% market share between April-June last year

According to CyberMedia Research, the device grabbed 91% share in the data card market between April-June last year. Notably, the JioFi M2S shouldn't be confused with the new JioFi JMR815 4G LTE hotspot which recently launched in March and is also priced at Rs. 999.
