Sagar Cements to invest ₹1,000cr in ESG projects
Sagar Cements is putting ₹1,000 crore into ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) projects over the next three years.
Their new plan aims to boost renewable energy, upgrade tech, and support local communities.
As Joint MD S Sreekanth Reddy put it, these moves are all about innovation and building a better tomorrow, with regular check-ins to keep things on track.
Major goals set for 2030
By 2030, they want one-half their electricity to come from green sources, up from just 18% now, thanks to solar projects already commissioned at Gudipadu and Dachepalli.
Beyond energy goals, they're upgrading health centers for locals and launching a skill development center.
The company's also working to hire more women and promises stronger transparency in how it runs things.
