Seven of India's top 10 companies just got a lot richer

Business

Last week, seven of India's 10 most highly valued companies (by market capitalisation) saw their total market value jump by over ₹96,200 crore.
This boost was led by Reliance Industries and Bajaj Finance, riding on a wave of positive vibes as the BSE Sensex hit a record high of 86,055.86 on November 27, 2025.

Who gained (and who didn't)

Reliance Industries added ₹28,282 crore to its value—still the country's most valuable company—while Bajaj Finance grew by ₹20,347 crore. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank also saw solid gains.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel lost ₹35,239 crore in value, with LIC and TCS slipping too.
Despite some losses at the top, overall market confidence is clearly on the rise.
