DND flyover shut due to farmers' protest, Delhi-Noida traffic suffers
The DND flyover which connects Delhi and Noida was shut on Friday after a group of farmers came out on streets to protest, claimed multiple reports. The farmers started their march from Pari Chowk in Noida and moved towards Delhi. Commuters were advised to avoid the DND flyover and use alternate routes like Mayur Vihar or Kalindi Kunj. In a statement, Noida traffic police said, diversions would be made according to the requirement. Alok Kumar, Joint commissioner (traffic), said traffic officers of Noida and Delhi were constantly in touch. The traffic could also be diverted through Akshardham road, he added. Commuters were suggested to keep a tab on social media handles of Delhi and Noida traffic police to stay updated.

Due to proposed rally by farmers traffic coming from Noida via DND is likely to be affected after 2 pm today. Pl follow traffic alerts on Delhi traffic social media platforms.
While vehicles moved at snail's speed, people took to social media to reveal what was happening on the ground. Twitter user @SanghiHaddock advised people to avoid Rajnigandha underpass going towards Film City. He added farmers have parked their tractors on the roads. Whereas @poojasodhi wrote: Delhi entry from Noida DND side completely closed by Delhi Police. Please take alternate routes to get to Delhi.
Any of you people know what’s going on in Noida ? Why is the Delhi border sealed at DND why the presence of force in such large numbers? There is terrible jam chaos .
