Ajay wraps 'Ranger' shoot, to begin 'Drishyam 3' soon

Ajay Devgn has reportedly wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film Ranger, directed by Jagan Shakti. The final schedule for the action-adventure was shot in Palghar, Maharashtra. The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia in a lead role and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. Devgn will now move on to his next project, Drishyam 3.
Location change
'Ranger' final schedule shifted to Palghar due to cyclone
The last leg of Ranger was originally scheduled to be shot in the forests of Thailand and Sri Lanka. However, after Cyclone Ditwah struck Sri Lanka last week, the makers opted to shift the shoot to India instead, per Mid-Day. They chose Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary and Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Palghar district for the remaining scenes.

Devgn to begin 'Drishyam 3' shoot in Mumbai
After wrapping up Ranger, Devgn will start shooting for Drishyam 3 on December 15. The film is part of the hit thriller franchise Drishyam and will be directed by Abhishek Pathak. The Mumbai schedule of the film will reportedly last for 10 days during which indoor scenes will be shot. The cast including Tabu and Akshaye Khanna are expected to join him for this schedule.

'Drishyam 3' shoot to resume in 2026
The shooting of Drishyam 3 is expected to continue until Christmas before breaking for the New Year. The production will resume in the first week of 2026 with a target to complete it by April. Devgn will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in this installment of the hit thriller franchise. Apart from this, Devgn is also reportedly in talks to adapt Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's thriller Thudarum into Hindi.
