'Work in progress': Bazmee shares update on 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4'
What's the story
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has confirmed that the fourth installment of the popular horror-comedy franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is currently in progress. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama on Saturday, he said that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, released a year ago, continues to be a favorite among audiences. The film starred Kartik Aaryan and was a spiritual sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).

Bazmee praised Aaryan and said, "The world would have never known of his fabulous comic timing if it wasn't for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I am planning a couple of comedies with Kartik." When asked if Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 would be one of these projects, he said, "Most definitely. It is work in progress." "The love that the series has accrued over the years is unsurpassable. So yeah, it is happening. The only factor that I can confirm is Kartik."

Bazmee also shared his experience of working with legends Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan, praising them for being "punctual, disciplined, competitive, yet collaborative." When asked if they would return for the fourth installment, he said it was possible. "It could! On the other hand, we may have some other actress who has never been part of the franchise before," promised Bazmee.
