Madhuri Dixit Nene is an Indian actress, dancer, producer, TV personality, and singer born on May 15, 1967. She made her acting debut with a leading role in the 1984 drama 'Abodh'. Some of her critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies include 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun..!', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Khalnayak', 'Raja', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Thanedaar', 'Saajan', 'Devdas', 'Kishen Kanhaiya', and 'Beta'. She received six Filmfare Awards and was one of India's highly paid actresses during the 1990s and 2000s. She also made it to the Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list seven times. In a career spanning nearly 40 years, she has acted in over 70 Bollywood movies. Her dramatic performances in thrillers like ‘Anjaam’ (1994) and ‘Pukar’ (2000) and social dramas such as ‘Mrityudand’ (1997) and ‘Lajja’ (2001) earned her much critical acclaim. Also, she is a philanthropist and has been working with UNICEF since 2014 to advocate children's rights and eradicate child labor.
