Dixit further added, "She was someone who worked hard...and I was similar, and I think we recognized that." Despite their alleged rivalry, Dixit showed great respect for Sridevi after her untimely demise in 2018. Sridevi was initially cast in Kalank, but passed away before filming began. After her death, Dixit stepped into the role and received praise for her decision. Sridevi's daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, also thanked Dixit for being a part of the film during such a difficult time.
