Guneet Monga is an Indian film producer who is the founder of Sikhya Entertainment which is a boutique film production house. Her production house has produced some notable films like ‘Masaan,’ ‘Zubaan,’ ‘Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1,’ ‘Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2,’ ‘The Lunchbox,’ and ‘Peddlers.’ Monga was also the executive producer of a documentary film titled ‘Period. End of Sentence,’ which was the winner of the 2019 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject. She has been listed as one among the top 50 Indians changing India by India Today and The Hollywood Reporter voted her as one of the top 12 women achievers in the Global Entertainment industry. She has also established a cinema collective called ‘Indian Women Rising (IWR),’ which aims to discover, magnify and spread the work of Indian women filmmakers across the globe. The first project she presented under IWR was a short film named ‘Bittu,’ which was nominated for the 93rd Academy Awards in the Best Live Action Short category. In 2021, Monga won the Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government for her contribution to Indo-French cultural and cinematic collaboration through her movies and her continuous work toward women empowerment.
