'BB 19': Ashnoor gets emotional, talks about body-image struggles
What's the story
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19's Weekend Ka Vaar saw host Salman Khan addressing body-shaming remarks made against contestant Ashnoor Kaur by fellow participants Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri. When the comments were revealed, Kaur was visibly shocked and broke down while discussing her long-standing battle with body-image issues. She also revealed that she had had eating disorders in the past.
Emotional revelation
Kaur opened up about her struggles
Fighting back tears, Kaur (21) said, "My body used to bloat up after coming to the sets. As a child, even as a teenager, I tried many things." "There was a stage where I had eating disorders. I didn't eat; I used to starve." "Before coming here, in fact, I lost 9kg. But after coming here, my body bloated up again."
Backlash
Kaur slams Mittal for her behavior
Kaur also slammed Mittal for body-shaming her, saying, "I don't think so...especially if you come to this platform and say that you are spiritual, that you take care of everyone, but then you shame someone behind their back." "You are not just saying this to me; you are saying this to the audience. You are making everyone feel bad who has issues with their body. So, Tanya, shame on you."

Host's response
Khan slammed Mittal, asked her to apologize sincerely
Khan empathized with Kaur, sharing that he also tends to gain weight in stressful situations. He slammed Mittal, saying, "This whole incident was shocking, terrible and not cool at all. Yahan bahut gaaliyan boli gayi hain is show par but in my eyes, this is worse than all of them." Although Mittal initially denied remembering her remarks, she later apologized.
Apology questioned
More on Khan's scathing attack on Mittal
Khan questioned Mittal's sincerity, saying, "You're only saying sorry so that this topic doesn't stretch, not because you've realized your mistake. Earlier you said you don't remember anything; now you suddenly do." "The longer this conversation continues, the more truth will come out, and that's why you're ending it so quickly," he added.
