Ayushmann Khurrana calls his character Prem a 'green flag'
Ayushmann Khurrana is stepping into a softer, simpler world with Sooraj Barjatya's Yeh Prem Mol Liya.
He described his character Prem as "a green flag," sharing, "In Sooraj Barjatya's film, the world is simpler and softer. Prem is that character who is simple, soft and a green flag."
He said, "I would like to explore that part again."
First collaboration between Khurrana and Barjatya
This marks the first time Khurrana and Barjatya are working together.
The romantic family drama started filming on November 1, 2024, in Kandivali, Mumbai.
The next major schedule will take place at Mehboob Studios, where most scenes will be shot indoors for creative consistency.
Rajshri Productions is backing the movie, aiming to wrap things up by January 2026.
Khurrana's history of choosing impactful roles
Khurrana is known for picking socially relevant films—like Bala, which made over ₹100 crore—and focusing on real, emotionally grounded characters. His choice to play Prem fits right into that pattern.
Sharvari also stars alongside him in this upcoming release.
