Box office collection: Rashmika Mandanna's 'The Girlfriend' nears break-even mark

Rashmika Mandanna's new film, The Girlfriend, is just $25,000 away from breaking even in North America after pulling in $375,000 during its opening week.
Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the movie follows Bhooma (played by Mandanna) as she deals with the ups and downs of a complicated relationship.

Meanwhile, on Indian box office

The film has been getting great reviews for its honest take on different stages of love. It also had a strong weekend in India, earning ₹6.90 crore thanks to good word-of-mouth.
With recent films like Thamma and Kuberaa under her belt, Rashmika will soon appear alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in Cocktail 2.
