'Terribly nervous': Chitrangda on working with Salman in 'Galwan'
What's the story
Actor Chitrangda Singh is set to share screen space with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the upcoming film Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, this will be her first collaboration with Khan. Speaking about her experience, Singh told ETimes that she was "terribly nervous" and under pressure while working with such a big star.
On-set experience
Singh's initial discomfort and eventual comfort with Khan
Singh said she was still getting used to the fact that she would be working with Khan. "I am still kind of warming up to the fact that I am working with Salman Khan. It's going to take some time." "I have known him socially, but to be on set with him feels so different. I was terribly nervous," she added.
Ice-breaking approach
Singh's strategy to ease nerves while working with Khan
Singh revealed that they started shooting with a song sequence, which added to her anxiety. "I was finding faults with everything ki yeh theek nahi hai, woh theek nahi hai," she said. To break the ice with Khan, she decided to let him take the lead. "You let him do that because eventually he makes you very comfortable." The film, based on the June 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Ladakh's Galwan Valley, will release next year.
