Chris Brown pleads not guilty to London nightclub assault
Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty after being accused of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw at London's Tape nightclub in February 2023.
Reports say Brown allegedly hit Diaw with a tequila bottle, chased him around the club, and is also facing charges for attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and having an offensive weapon.
More charges to be addressed next month
Brown and co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu (aka HoodyBaby) are accused of punching and kicking Diaw during the same incident.
Both appeared in court this week; while Brown denied the main charge, more charges will be addressed in July.
Brown is currently out on bail—he had to pay a hefty £5 million security, surrender his passport, and stay in the UK (with some exceptions for his European tour).
The trial is set for October 2026.
