'Cobra Kai' actor Martin Kove apologizes for biting incident
Martin Kove, known for his role as John Kreese in Cobra Kai, has publicly apologized for allegedly biting co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim during a fan convention.
He said he "deeply regret[s] and apologize[s]" for his actions and called Hannah-Kim "a genuinely kind and wonderful person who didn't deserve to be put in this position."
Incident details
The incident went down at Summer Con in Washington on June 22.
According to a police report, after Hannah-Kim tapped Kove on the shoulder, he allegedly grabbed her arm and bit it so hard it nearly drew blood, then kissed the mark.
When confronted by Hannah-Kim and her husband, Kove reportedly denied it and got upset.
Police confirmed she had a visible bite mark.
Hannah-Kim filed report 'just in case'
Hannah-Kim decided not to press charges but filed an official report just in case things escalate.
Kove emphasized respect for his co-star and promised this wouldn't happen again.
Kove has played Kreese since the original 'Karate Kid' films
Kove has played John Kreese since the original 1984 Karate Kid films, while Hannah-Kim joined Cobra Kai as Kim Da-Eun in later seasons.
Despite the awkward moment, both remain part of the show's legacy.
