Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been summoned by the Nampally Court in Hyderabad in connection with the Pushpa 2 stampede and fan death case, reported ANI. The court has asked him to appear for a hearing on June 22, Monday. The Chikkadpally Police have named Arjun as Accused No. 11 (A11) in this case, while Sandhya Theatre management is listed as Accused Nos. 1 to 10 (A1-A10). Police have filed a chargesheet against 23 accused individuals.

On December 4, 2024, a tragic stampede occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Thousands of fans had gathered after Arjun's arrival, resulting in overcrowding and chaos. A 35-year-old woman named Revathi died due to suffocation in the rush, while her young son, Sri Teja, was seriously injured and hospitalized.

After the incident, Hyderabad Police registered a case against Arjun, his security team members, and Sandhya Theatre management for negligence and poor crowd control. On December 13, 2024, Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad City Police in connection with this case but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on the same day. He expressed grief over Revathi's death and promised financial support to her family. Despite the controversy, Pushpa 2 went on to become a raging success.
