Former actor Ian Fang commences 40-Month prison term
Former Singaporean actor Ian Fang, 35, has started a 40-month prison sentence after admitting to having sex with a 15-year-old girl he met at an event in May 2024. The encounters happened multiple times over two months, including several instances of unprotected sex. Fang began his sentence on June 16, 2025.
Fang tried to influence victim, apologized publicly
Fang also tried to get the girl to persuade her mother to drop the case, which added to her distress. The victim experienced severe emotional struggles, including suicidal thoughts and an adjustment disorder diagnosis. Outside court, Fang called his actions "an expensive and very huge mistake" and promised to become better. His mother apologized publicly as well. The case has drawn significant attention in Singapore due to Fang's celebrity background.
