Kamal Haasan becomes India's highest-paid actor, thanks to 'Kalki 2898 AD'
Filmmaker Yugi Sethu said Kamal Haasan is now the highest-paid actor in India, thanks to his role in Kalki 2898 AD.
According to Yugi Sethu, Haasan earned a jaw-dropping ₹150 crore; Sethu initially referenced 20 days on the call sheet, and a producer later said Haasan's contribution was 10 days.
This big payday comes after his major comeback with Vikram (2022).
Meanwhile, on 'Kalki 2898 AD'
In Kalki 2898 AD, Haasan plays Supreme Yaskin, a key character whose limited screen time still leaves a big impact and hints at more to come in future films.
The movie also includes other high-profile cast members, including Amitabh Bachchan.
After Vikram's huge box office success (nearly ₹400 crore), Haasan is back in demand, with upcoming projects alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth showing he's still one of Indian cinema's most versatile stars.
