Kher also revealed that the original cast will be reuniting for the sequel. He said, "It's a brilliant script. That was my major concern...the script has to be great. Film legacy

'Khosla Ka Ghosla' was Banerjee's directorial debut

Khosla Ka Ghosla marked Banerjee's directorial debut and was a satirical take on the corruption that plagues the common man in India. The film followed Kher's character, Kamal Kishore Khosla, whose dreams of building a home for his family are thwarted by a corrupt real estate developer. The film was remade in Tamil as Poi Solla Porom (2008) and in Kannada as Rame Gowda vs Krishna Reddy (2010).
