Khushbu slams rumors over Sundar C's exit from 'Thalaivar 173'
What's the story
Filmmaker-actor Sundar C was recently announced as the director of a film starring Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal Haasan. However, he later announced his exit from the project, tentatively tagged Thalaivar 173. This led to rumors about his departure, which were dismissed by his producer-wife, Khushbu Sundar. She dismissed these speculations on social media, responding to comments that labeled Sundar's actions as "disrespectful" and "arrogant."
Response
'What a disaster you are'
An X (formerly Twitter) user claimed that Sundar narrated a subpar story to Rajinikanth, calling his press note "disrespectful and arrogant." They wrote, "#Thalaivar173 started with big expectations, news states that there was no proper story which lead to the problem. Whatever it was, #SundarC should've spoken to production. Instead, he published a letter which felt disrespectful & arrogant @khushsundar." To this, Khushbu replied: "And you tweet and raise questions on hearsay?? What a disaster you are."
Social media
Khushbu's witty comebacks to trolls
Another user shared a meme of Rajinikanth running away from Khushbu, calling it the "reason for #Thalaivar173 dropped." She responded, "Appadidhaan un amma unnai peththaangala (Is this how your mother treats you)?? Thanks for the info." When another troll on X wrote, "Heard that rajini and kamal thrown your husband out of their production due to pathetic story narration," she warned him, "Yen seruppu size 41, adi vaanga thayaara (My slipper size is 41, are you ready to get thrashed)??"

Sundar's statement on leaving 'Thalaivar 173'
On November 2, Haasan officially announced Thalaivar 173 on social media by posting pictures with Rajinikanth and Sundar. However, just days later, Sundar released a statement saying he had to step back from the project due to "unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances." He expressed his high regard for both Rajinikanth and Haasan, stating they taught him "invaluable lessons." Meanwhile, Sundar will star in K Thirugnanam's One 2 One, alongside Anurag Kashyap, next, and he's helming Mookuthi Amman 2 with Nayanthara.
