Bollywood has lost another legend. Veteran superstar Dharmendra (89) has passed away, his team confirmed on Tuesday. The icon, fondly called the "He-Man of Bollywood," was reportedly dealing with age-related ailments. Dharmendra, who started his career in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, worked in over 300 movies, including Sholay, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Dharam Veer. May he rest in peace.

Earlier, on October 31, Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for a routine check-up. A source shared with India Today, "He undergoes a series of tests periodically given his age, and is in the hospital for the same." "He is fine and there's nothing to be worried about." His wife, actor-politician Hema Malini, later told the media that he was doing "okay."

They have two daughters together, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

During his long career, Dharmendra headlined several classic movies. These include Mera Karam Mera Dharam, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Seeta Aur Geeta, Chupke Chupke, and The Burning Train.
