Filmmakers Karthik Subbaraj and Lokesh Kanagaraj are joining hands for a new project titled 29 the Film. This will be Rathna Kumar's fourth directorial venture. The movie is a co-production between their respective banners, Stone Bench and G Squad Official. The first look of the film was unveiled on Wednesday, featuring an intriguing voice-over asking men aged 29 about their identity and what distinguishes them from their name and profession.

The movie also stars Avinash, Master Mahendran, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar in supporting roles.

With its mix of nostalgia, emotion, and classic romance, 29 the Film is expected to be a notable release of early 2026. The movie is likely to hit theaters in February or March next year.
