#MeToo: Kangana Ranaut slams Shabana Azmi, KJo for their silence
Bollywood's #MeToo is now a burning issue, and actress Kangana Ranaut has been pretty vocal about it. The 'Queen' actress, who is known for speaking what's on her mind, accused director Vikas Bahl of sexual harassment. And now, Kangana has attacked biggies like Karan Johar and Shabana Azmi for keeping mum on the #MeToo movement all this while.
Significant people need to come out and talk, feels Kangana
Launching an attack at Shabana and KJo, Kangana wondered where were these people. She stated that it is time for significant people to come out and support the cause, just like she did. "I have been speaking about it every day but now more significant people need to come out and talk about it," Kangana added.
"Why isn't Shabanaji speaking up?"
Kangana, who hasn't shied away from sharing her #MeToo ordeal, emphasized that there are women who need support and courage to speak up. "There are women who need to be empowered and there are women who are very strong. But, my point is, where is Shabana Azmiji, why isn't she sharing her #MeToo experience." the actress quizzed.
Kangana takes a sly dig at KJo's Twitter activity
Kangana also took a jibe at KJo's Twitter activity saying the filmmaker has time to tweet about gym and airport looks. "He tweets ten times about it. What about this? This is their identity. This is their bread and butter. When the film industry is going through such an important shift, where are they?" the actress asked. Honestly, where are they?
