Michael J. Fox gets real about family support through Parkinson's

Entertainment

Michael J. Fox just opened up about how much his wife Tracy Pollan and their four kids mean to him as he lives with Parkinson's disease.
At a recent fundraising event, he shared, "They've always been there for me, and they continue to be for me, year after year."

How Fox and his family are tackling Parkinson's together

Diagnosed back in 1991, Fox went on to launch the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000—which has since become the biggest nonprofit supporting Parkinson's research, putting over $2.5 billion toward advancing understanding of the disease.
At the November 15 gala, Pollan talked honestly about how tough it can be for families but said their kids always show up when it counts.

Caregiving isn't easy—but they're in it together

Pollan highlighted that caring for someone with Parkinson's is hard work: "It's hard for them, but they show up and they're there for us."
The couple co-chaired the event, which included guests like Meg Ryan and Jon Stewart, to raise money and awareness—proving that teamwork really does make a difference.
