What's the story

Mimoh Chakraborty, the lead actor of Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, has defended the film's heavy reliance on artificial intelligence (AI) and visual effects (VFX). The movie has been criticized for its overuse of AI in creating certain scenes, leading to glitches such as inconsistent car number plates. Despite this, Chakraborty is thrilled with the audience's response and box office performance.

Technical details

Chakraborty's take on AI use in 'Haunted 3D'

Chakraborty told HT City, "We balanced it out, we have not completely used AI. There were so many shots in the film which had to be made for 3D specifically." "But when it comes to the making, Vikram Bhatt sir is the best person to answer this... I don't know the genius behind the technology. All I know is that we had shot some scenes particularly to create that world, we were not getting the desired result."

Box office success

Box office collection and actor's thoughts

Despite the initial challenges, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past has reportedly collected ₹13 crore in its first four days. Chakraborty expressed his happiness with the audience's response to the film, saying it was a "dream come true" after a "grueling and trying time." "I could tell you it's been challenging, frustrating, but no. Every actor's journey has been challenging because we all are trying to find ourselves in the next project."
