Netflix recently unveiled the first look of its upcoming series Operation Safed Sagar at the inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25) in New Delhi. The show, starring Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill, is a retelling of the Indian Air Force's crucial role in the Kargil War. Per the IAF, "Operation Safedsagar was, indeed, a milestone in the history of military aviation, as this was the first time that air power was employed in such an environment."

The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, and Arnav Bhasin. The story follows a group of IAF pilots who go to great lengths to execute a high-risk mission. The show was filmed extensively at operational Indian Air Force bases and features MiG aircraft and real IAF personnel for an authentic portrayal of heroism. Directed by Oni Sen and created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, it will premiere in 2026.
