The caller specifically asked him not to share the stage with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. They also demanded a large sum of money, allegedly stating that Singh would face serious consequences if the demand was not met. Notably, Singh is scheduled to appear on the finale of Bigg Boss 19, scheduled for Sunday night.

Singh reportedly received the threatening call from an unknown number on Saturday. The caller identified themselves as a member of the Bishnoi gang and warned him against sharing the stage with Khan. Although no official statement has been released by Singh, his team has informed security agencies about the incident.

Singh's public appearances now under heightened security
After the alleged threat, Singh's security arrangements have reportedly been significantly increased. Despite the warning, however, the Bhojpuri superstar is expected to participate in the Bigg Boss finale as planned. Notably, in October, Singh was granted Y-category security by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This came after a threat perception report prepared by the Intelligence Bureau highlighted potential risks to Singh, reported India Today.

Why the Bishnoi gang has been targeting Khan
Bishnoi's threats to Khan stem from the infamous 1998 poaching case, where Khan was accused of killing a blackbuck during a film shoot in Rajasthan. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, and hunting them is seen as a severe religious violation. Gangster Bishnoi belongs to this community and has repeatedly claimed that Khan insulted their faith and must be punished.

Khan's security was upgraded after multiple threats
Khan has received multiple threats from the Bishnoi gang over the years. In April 2024, four rounds were fired with a 7.6 bore gun at his Galaxy Apartments residence around 5:00am. Following this incident, the balcony of his apartment was made bulletproof in January 2025, and high-resolution cameras were installed around the premises. He is currently provided Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government, which includes 11 personnel at all times, with one to two commandos and two PSOs.
