Pune Police probe ₹300cr land sale, arrest key player
Pune Police are digging into a major land deal where Sheetal Tejwani allegedly helped sell Mundhwa's Mahar watan land for ₹300 crore—without getting the needed state approvals.
Acting as power of attorney for 272 landowners, Tejwani sold the land (leased to the Botanical Survey of India) to Amadea Enterprises LLP, a company linked to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son.
The whole thing has raised eyebrows because of missing permissions and questions about who actually got paid.
What's happening now?
Tejwani was recently arrested and will stay in police custody until December 11 as investigators sort through what really happened.
Authorities are checking if the original landowners received any money from this huge sale and whether there was any fraud involved.
They're also looking into digital evidence and whether others might be connected to the case.
