Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and South Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu are reportedly in talks for a superhero film by the filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, popularly known as Raj-DK. A source told Mid-Day, "Samantha is very much in the conversation. She shares a strong creative equation with the makers, and they feel she fits the part." Notably, Ruth Prabhu has been married to Nidimoru since December 2025. The directors are known for their successful web shows, including three seasons of Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man, Shahid Kapoor's Farzi, Varun Dhawan and Ruth Prabhu's Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Guns & Gulaabs.

Ruth Prabhu has previously worked with Raj-DK on their hit Amazon Prime Video series, The Family Man 2, and Citadel: Honey Bunny. Reports suggest that Nayanthara is the frontrunner for the female lead in this pan-India action entertainer, which is set to go on floors by April.

On the work front, Khan is gearing up for the release of his war drama Battle of Galwan. The film is based on the Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers and also stars Chitrangada Singh. It is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on April 17. Ruth Prabhu, on the other hand, has a Telugu film titled Maa Inti Bangaaram set to release on May 15. She will also be seen in Raj-DK's series Rakht Brahmand.
