'The French Dispatch': Saoirse Ronan rejoins Wes Anderson, Timothee Chalamet
    Credits

Wes Anderson is one of the most visually pleasing directors in Hollywood, known for his perfect symmetrical shots, soothing color palettes, and often existentially melancholic characters. Fresh off 2018's animated wonder Isle of Dogs, the writer-director is working on his next film titled, The French Dispatch, whose release date is not yet fixed. Interestingly, Saoirse Ronan, of Oscar-nominated Lady Bird, is set to join.

This is Ronan's second collaboration with Anderson

Ronan was speaking about her upcoming movie Mary Queen of Scots when she let the news about her involvement in Anderson's movie slip. Notably, this will mark her second collaboration with Anderson, having first appeared in 2014's The Grand Budapest Hotel where she played the part of Agatha, a baker. She played the love interest of lobby boy Zero Moustafa played by Tony Revolori.

Anderson's upcoming movie was rumored to be a musical

Anderson's upcoming movie, earlier rumored to be a musical, has been described as a love letter to journalists who have been set at an outpost for an American newspaper in 20th century Paris. The script that shall most probably be an aesthetic exploration of Paris' intellectual "Left Bank" and the rise of modernism, includes three varying storylines, one of which will feature Ronan.

Who all will feature in Anderson's upcoming movie

The cast for the upcoming movie, The French Dispatch, also includes Anderson's regular actors like Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, and Tilda Swinton, apart from Ronan. The new cast members include Benicio del Toro, Timothee Chalamet and Jeffrey Wright.

The collaboration between Ronan and Chalamet continues

While Ronan reuniting with Anderson is big news, indie movie fans will be even more excited about the collaboration between Ronan and Chalamet. The two first appeared in Greta Gerwig's Oscar-nominated movie Lady Bird, and will again be seen in Gerwig's 2019 film Little Women. It'll be exciting to see how Anderson's aesthetic vision fits these two, who have made a name for themselves.
