Makers of SRK's upcoming TED Talks show approach Oprah Winfrey
Makers of Shah Rukh Khan's small-screen comeback "TED Talks: Nayi Soch" approached popular international TV host Oprah Winfrey for delivering a TED Talk on the show. Seven episodes were shot with celebs like Javed Akhtar, Mithali Raj, Karan Johar, and Ekta Kapoor; Khan wants international faces for the remaining three episodes. The show, initially scheduled to launch in October, has been pushed to November-December.
One international personality, Google Chief Sundar Pichai, has already shot for an episode of the new TED Talks show. Shah Rukh Khan held a virtual interactive session with Pichai as he couldn't come to India. However, the makers want more international personalities for the show.
In Jan'12, Oprah Winfrey came to India when she was invited as the guest of honor at a party hosted by Adi Godrej's late wife Parmeshwar in Mumbai. Many Bollywood personalities had attended the bash, where Oprah and SRK connected. A source said since Khan's upcoming show is adapted from the international format, he is keen that Oprah be a part of it.
