Bollywood veteran Dharmendra was discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning. The 89-year-old actor had been admitted for medical observation after he reportedly suffered breathlessness. Earlier today, a video captured by Zoom showed an ambulance leaving the hospital, with Dharmendra's younger son, Bobby Deol, seen exiting the place just before the ambulance. The veteran actor will reportedly continue his treatment at home. "Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7:30am," Dr. Pratit Samdani told the PTI.

After the news of Dharmendra's hospitalization, there were several reports online claiming that the actor had died. His wife and veteran actor-politician Hema Malini expressed her anger on X (formerly Twitter) at false media reports. She said, "What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering?"

Adding to her mother's statement, actor Esha Deol also shared a clarification on Instagram. "The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable & recovering."
