Mani Ratnam-Vijay Sethupathi's film to begin shooting in June

Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam's next project, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi, is reportedly set to begin filming in June. The news was shared by industry tracker Mukil Vardhanan on X (formerly Twitter), who also revealed that a short promotional video for the film will be shot this month. The movie is currently being referred to as "Production No. 23" and is backed by Madras Talkies.

A.R. Rahman on board as music composer
A.R. Rahman has been confirmed as the music composer for Ratnam's upcoming film, dispelling earlier rumors about musician Sai Abhyankar being involved. Rahman has reportedly already composed two songs for the movie and is currently working on the rest of the soundtrack.

She will also star as Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana this Diwali.
