Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' earns over ₹325cr before release

Vijay's next big film, Jana Nayagan, is already making waves before hitting theaters on January 9, 2026.
The movie has raked in over ₹325 crore in pre-release deals—Tamil Nadu theatrical rights alone brought in over ₹100 crore, overseas rights added about ₹80 crore, music rights sold for ₹35 crore, and Amazon Prime Video grabbed the streaming rights for a cool ₹110 crore.

Hype around film could lead to even higher earnings

This is expected to be Vijay's last movie before he steps into politics, which has fans extra hyped.
Directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the film also features Pooja Hegde and marks Bobby Deol's Tamil debut.
With a grand scale and plenty of buzz still building, total pre-release earnings could reach an impressive ₹400 crore.
