The quirky spy-comedy Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, starring Vir Das, Mithila Palkar, Mona Singh, and Imran Khan among others, was released on Netflix on Wednesday, April 1. The film was released in theaters on January 16 and had generated buzz for its unique blend of humor, action, and satire. It also marked Khan's return to the silver screen after over a decade since his last film, Katti Batti (2015).

Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos follows the story of an Indian adopted son of two gay British secret agents who dreams of joining MI7. The film takes a turn when he learns about his Indian roots and is sent on a mission to Goa to rescue a white woman forced to work in a factory. The movie also explores themes like identity, racism, colorism, masculinity, gender roles, parenthood, and freedom, but all under the garb of humor.
